Lodge, with more than 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet
space in a variety of beautifully appointed rooms.
River Lodge can host groups from 10 to 500. All meeting space can
accommodate state-of-the-art multi-media presentation systems. The
flexibility of our meeting space assures our ability to respond to the
meeting requirements of your group.
The River Lodge received the first place
award from the California Redevelopment Association in Excellence for
Public Spaces for 2000. This award considered 300 applicants and included
the entire state of California.
Local artists have provided an exceptional welcome with their
interpretations of the natural environment that surrounds Fortuna. Their
works are prominently displayed in the lobby gallery with eighteen pieces
of original art.
River
Lodge is the finest meeting facility on the North Coast and its
rustic architecture and scenic setting overlooking the Eel River and

River Lodge was designed to comfortably accommodate diverse groups of
various sizes. The floor
plan will give you a better idea of the layout of the facility. Our
state of the art audio visual equipment, sound
system, and lighting will ensure excellent presentations that the
viewers will remember and the planners appreciate. Our competent staff
will be available at all times to assist with the equipment.
The new 13,000-square foot River Lodge raises the standard for meetings
with the ultimate in technology, sophistication and service. The
state-of-the-art facility features: three conference rooms with flexible
configurations for 10 to 500 people and one executive board room for
twelve. All meeting/banquet rooms have sweeping panoramic views of the Eel
River. Every richly appointed meeting room highlights state-of-the-art
audio-visual equipment with individual sound and temperature control
systems.
The
commercial kitchen is equipped with four ovens, refrigerators,
ice machine, cookware, serving utensils and place settings for 300. The
kitchen makes food preparation, serving and clean up a snap.
Rental of the kitchen includes use of all kitchen equipment and cookware,
as well as tableware, glassware and flatware for up to three hundred
people. Catering can be provided by the staff at River Lodge. A custom
menu can be arranged to fit the particular needs of your group or we can
provide you with our menu suggestions.
The
facility's landscaping includes Northern California's largest and most
diverse heather garden. The landscape was a
collaboration between HERE (the Heather Enthusiasts of the Redwood
Empire), the Fortuna Garden Club, and the City of Fortuna. The gardens at
River Lodge contain more than 400 different varieties of heaths and
heathers.
There are many places to visit in the
Eel River Valley such
as the Victorian Village of Ferndale and the Avenue of the Giants.
Lodging is available at the Best Western Country Inn, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn
Express, or Super 8 Motel. These motels and the Pacific Rivers RV Park are
located next to River Lodge along with Denny's and the award winning
Eel River Brewing
Company.
The rental fee for River Lodge depends on the
room(s) you select for your group. The fee includes set up and take down
of tables and chairs, and use of the audio visual equipment and the sound
system. In addition, our staff will clean up the facility following your
event. We can also provide a data telephone line, copying, fax, mail, and
office services for a nominal charge.
